Acceptance of the following terms & conditions is a prerequisite for entry in Jumpstart 2012.
  1. Previously-completed work is acceptable, as long as it isn’t an already finished product.
  2. ilab in collaboration with local development communities will help to facilitate the selection and formation of teams before the Friday evening session. Previously formed teams are eligible to participate as teams providing all participants have registered through the Jumpstarters website.
  3. All Jumpstarters teams must register on the website before Friday 12th October 2012.
  4. Teams can consist of 2-5 individuals.
  5. The development tools, frameworks and application focus are entirely up to the participants but will be judged on either consumer or enterprise commercial potential.
  6. Participants are expected to BYO tools & software necessary to build their entry. WiFi access and power will be provided by ilab.
  7. Rules are subject to change if necessary at the discretion of ilab & UniQuest.
  8. Employees, contractors and partners of ilab & UniQuest are welcome to participate in the Jumpstarters but are not eligible to receive prizes.
  9. Participants must present their project concepts to the judging panel at 1:00pm on 13th October with working product prototypes presented to the judging panel at 4:00pm on Sunday 14th October 2012.
  10. All prizes will be awarded at 5:30 PM on Sunday 14th October 2012.
  11. The Germinate prize consisting of up to $20,000 for further development is to be awarded at the discretion of ilab & UniQuest and based on teams agreeing to terms outlined in ilab’s Program Agreement. The Germinate prize may not be awarded if no entry is deemed worthy.
  12. All design and code assets will remain the intellectual property of the individuals who created them.
  13. ilab may use your business name and/or the name of your product and screenshots of your product in our public statements and marketing materials.
